this past weekend chris, my sister,
and my brother-in-law all packed up and
went to minnesota for 1 night and 2 days.
the whole trip was for the new kids on
the block package tour with guests
98 degrees and boyziimen. chris and i
were excited about boyziimen. my sister was
the nkotb fan, lol!
it was a good show, but i could hardly see
because the ladies in front of us were dancing
their butts off! drunk hot messes!
here's some photos. [they used so much fog it
was so hard to see anything! i'm listing the
pictures in the order they performed.]
this is boyiimen
this is 98 degrees
and the headliners, new kids on the block!
we also went to the mall of america. it's been
awhile since i've been there, it was fun but
i did feel a bit rushed and i wanted to take my time.
it's okay i got some cute tops anyway! and chris
scored some jordan retro 8's. :]
afterward we went to ikea... it wasn't really
what i remembered it to be. but it was cool anyway.
on the last morning we were there, we went to the
hmong village. it was in a warehouse with no signs.
my first thought was... where did my sister take us?
it was pretty cool and the food smelled amazing!
i wasn't hungry at the time so we didn't stop and eat.
maybe next time.

"time is of the essence"
as some people say, time is of the essence.
i've never really understood the true
meaning, until now. it's always those real
life experiences that open your eyes.
at my old job i got off right at 3:00pm and i
loved it, more time during the day and to
get my chores done. my commute to work
was only twenty minutes. it was perfect.
now, i'm at a new place and it's 7:30am to
5:00pm with a 40 minute commute. getting
home close to 6:00pm has really been hard for me.
what with doing wedding stuff, cooking dinner,
and my fiancé's bedtime being 9:00pm [he works
night shifts].
i feel there's no time for anything.
i've started planning out the week and days
to make things easier and less time wasted,
in which it does help but it's still hard to deal with.
time is literally slipping out of my hands.
i'm grabbing at empty air to try to get it back.

date nights in a jar [june]
let's get in our june fix!
1. plant something together
chris and i purchased dwarf sunflower
seeds and small vases at target in
the $1.00 area. it's been about three
weeks and they are still growing.
2. do puzzles together
we got lucky on this one, we bought a cool
disney puzzle months ago and never got
around to doing it. now it's been done!
3. play 20 questions together
this was very interesting for us both... we
didn't really know what to ask each other so
we just searched online and chose some random
questions and made some ourselves. we've
been together for 6.5 years... but it was
still interesting!
4. birdwatch with binoculars
this one was kind of a bust! lol! chris and
i went to water works park, in the big open
field with trees. it was hard to find birds for
one... but we got so bit up by mosquitoes!
so we just left. we saw a goldfinch, eagle,
cardinal and of course robins!
until next time, bye bye butterfly!
